In-person lesson time minimums
A two-hour minimum is required for each lesson, but no minimum amount of lessons is required. I customize all lessons depending upon the time allotted, as well as your healthy eating goals. A two-hour lesson will normally cover from two to four recipes. Time flies when we’re having fun and learning in the kitchen! Clients should feel free to opt for sessions longer than two hours. If we are cooking at your home, please allow for an appropriate amount of time to complete the lesson without other household distractions.
Hourly rates, charges & deposits
The following rates include customized recipe development, food shopping and semi-preparation of food (for an effective use of your lesson time). Ingredients used in your cooking lesson are included in the hourly rate. After each lesson, you will have your custom recipes, hands-on preparation experience, information on ingredients used, possible articles on relevant points discussed and, of course, a fully cooked meal!
Yes, come and spend a week or long weekend and soak in all that NYC has to offer. By day you will learn according to your specific goals, whether for weight loss or wanting to eat healthier, maybe incorporate vegetarian dishes though you aren’t 100% a vegetarian. Depending on the length of your stay and your goals, we can food tour to NYFC’s favorite spice/ingredient market(s), whether permitting go for long walks in the city stopping along the way to take in the sites. At night, take in a show, performance, whatever NYC has to offer. I recommend AKA hotel right next door to NYFC because it is convenient and has a full kitchen in every unit. Call or write for pricing, as it depends on the time of year as far as my daily rates go.
- NYFC Kitchen – New York Food Coach is located in midtown Manhattan on the east side. The rate at the NYFC kitchen is $125 per hour (2-hour minimum) . Feel free to bring a friend!
- Your Kitchen – The rate at your New York kitchen is $135 per hour (2-hour minimum) + the cost of ingredients + the cost of transportation to your location.
A deposit of 50 percent is required at the time of scheduling your appointment(s). The balance, plus cost of ingredients, is due at your appointment. Credit cards, checks and/or cash payment are all accepted.
Refunds & rescheduling
Because ingredients are purchased in advance, deposit refunds will be made only upon cancellation 72 hours prior to your lesson time. If it is a 24-hour difference that you need to reschedule and the time slot is available, I will gladly reschedule to accommodate your timetable.

Metabolic rate check
Certified nutritionist Lisa Jubilee is offering New York Food Coach clients a special $175.00 package, which includes a metabolic rate check and a one-hour nutrition consultation.
